Jerry was born on October 14, 1938 to John Leroy Sr and Irene Callie Brown in Coal Hill, Arkansas. Jerry met and married Dale H. Diffie in Tucson, Arizona, with Dale she had her son Robert Dale and Lori Dawn. In 1970, she moved to Spearman, Texas where her older brother John resided. There she met Tommie White and was married. With her marriage to Tommie, she gained three daughters: Terri, Tammi, and Traci. Jerry and Tommie moved to Alba, Texas near Lake Fork. The entire family including many grandchildren enjoyed the lake up until 2000, when she returned to the panhandle and lived in Amarillo near her twin brother Jimmy until his death.
Jerry was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her career spanned from working as dispatcher, secretary, and then working in many different capacities during her time at Walmart. Upon her retirement, Jerry was working in the bakery, which she enjoyed. Jerry enjoyed quilting, painting, and spending time with her family.
Jerry was determined, independent, stubborn, and a force of love. Over the course of her lifetime, she endured the loss of a son, surviving breast and ovarian cancer, and multiple surgeries. The hardships affected her greatly; however, she was a resilient and determined woman. Though she will be missed greatly by those she left behind, we find peace in knowing she is reunited with those she loves.
Jerry is predeceased in death by her parents, John and Irene Brown; siblings, John Brown Jr, Ada Bea Bunch, her twin Jimmy Brown; son, Robert Dale Diffie; and her two great granddaughters, Mackenzie and Addy Allison.
