Hansford County Sheriff's Office seizes over 60 pounds of marijuana in a drug bust

According to details released by Hansford County Sheriff, Bob Mahafee, on 09/26/24 Adult Probation was conducting a home visit in the 400 block of E 2nd in Spearman, Hansford County, when marijuana was found in plain view. 

A search warrant was obtained and executed by Hansford County Deputies who seized 61.35 pounds of marijuana found in the residence.  The majority of the marijuana was prepackaged for sale or distribution.  Paraphernalia for weighing and packaging was also seized.   

Jeffery Leonard Wiggins Jr and Julia Elizabeth Cavazos were arrested and booked into the Hansford County Jail.

The 84th District Adult Probation Officer and the Spearman Police Department assisted county deputies in the arrests.
