Xavier “Xman” Barrera, 68, of Spearman

Xavier “Xman” Barrera, 68, of Spearman, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. Viewing will be on Wednesday, September, 13, 2023 (2:00p.m.-9:00p.m.) and Thursday, September 14, 2023 (9:00a.m.-9:00p.m.) at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Assem-bly of God Church in Spearman, 11:00a.m. with Pastor Tyler Hines officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

He was born on February 13, 1955 in Kingsville, TX. to Antonio Barrera Sr. and Geneva Gallardo Barrera. Xavier and Patsy De Luna were married on January 28, 1978 in Borger, Texas. They made their home in Spearman where he worked as a combine mechanic for John Deere for many years. He loved working on combines. He also farmed and would always take them on tractors and help change the irrigation water. He would love to take little road trips with the family, the kids were always bored but he really enjoyed the trips.

Xavier was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Adrian Barrera.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy of the home, daughters, Andrea and Felipe Navarrete of Spearman, Tobi Barrera of Spearman, brother, Tony Barrera of Spearman, sisters, Pat and Ron Yates of Wyoming and Barbara and Juan of Texas. He is survived by 4 grandchildren, Isaiah Navarrete, Briauna Nararrete, Bailey Gauna , Bella Gauna and the first great-granddaughter on board.

Family suggests memorials be to Spearman FFA, Dax Foundation or one's favorite charity.
